Family

After law school, Joel spent a year working for the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) in Bonn, Germany. There he met and married Leena, who was a student from Finland working in the same office. They have a son Jacob, a daughter Maija, a daughter-in-law Lesley, a son-in-law Jonny and a grandaughter named Ella Grace.
